Features and uses:
- STG-56 A5.18 ER70S-6 is a 49 0N/mm grade 2 high-tensile steel TIG welding rod, especially suitable for bottom-pass welding of pipelines.
- Suitable for high-pressure equipment applications such as shipbuilding, pressure vessels, vehicles, petrochemicals, and nuclear power plant pipelines .
Notes:
- Use Ar as the protective gas, its purity should be above 9.997%, and the gas flow control should be appropriate. When the current is 100~200Amp, the gas flow is 7~12 l/min; when the current is 200~300Amp, the gas flow is 12 ~15 l/min.
- The appropriate extension length from the nozzle to the tungsten electrode is 5mm, and the arc length is preferably 1~3mm.
- Appropriate wind protection facilities must be provided during welding to prevent blowholes from being affected by wind.
